1820 – J&A Davidson established. Brewers and Whisky Blenders, 1 Duke Street, Coldstream in the Scottish Borders. The Tweeddale Blend was born.
1880 – Richard Day my Great Grandfather was born at the Lees Stables, Coldstream.
1895 – Richard Day left school and joined J&A Davidson as an office boy.
1899 – 1916 – My Great Grandfather learned the art of whisky blending and recorded all of the details of the blends he produced during these years in his “Cellar Book”.
1923 – J&A Davidson became Richard Day, my Great Grandfather took over the business at 1 Duke Street.

1939 / 1940 – The business was wound down, whisky blending stopped prior to the 2nd World War. The Tweeddale Blend was no longer produced and in the years following the war my Great Grandfather slowly sold of his stock of Whisky casks.
2009 – Having inherited my Great Grandfathers cellar book I established Stonedean Limited with the sole purpose of recreating The Tweeddale Blend.
May 2010 – The first batch of The Tweeddale Blend for 70 years was produced.
June 2011 – Batch 2, The Tweeddale Blend 12 year old
